To start with, make sure you follow these simple rules:-
- Go to bed and wake up at the same time every night
- No napping during the day, no matter how tired you are
- Do not drink coffee six hours before bedtime
- Do not smoke before bedtime (it's a stimulant)
- Avoid heavy meals before bedtime
- Avoid exercising late in the evening (within 4 hours of bedtime)
- Avoid drinking too much alcohol. You may fall asleep quickly but wake up dehydrated during the night
